Pacific Technology Cooperation Group Internship Program
Empowering Future Innovators in IT and Cybersecurity
Welcome to the Pacific Technology Cooperation Group (PTCG) Internship Program—where academic learning meets real-world impact. Our internships are designed to immerse motivated students in the fast-paced world of IT and cybersecurity, offering hands-on experience, community engagement, and professional development.
This internship is a dynamic 12-week gateway for students eager to turn classroom knowledge into real-world impact by blending technical training with community engagement and industry collaboration.
What You Will Do
The PTCG internship is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing interns with a comprehensive professional experience in technology:
Hands-On Cyber Range Development: Work directly on cyber range environments—simulated networks—gaining practical experience in building, maintaining, and securing these systems to prepare for modern cyber defense challenges. You will learn network architecture, threat modeling, and deployment of secure environments for training.
Community Engagement with Hawai‘i DOE: Participate in outreach initiatives with the Hawai‘i State Department of Education (DOE), helping to inspire and educate the next generation of tech leaders, supporting K–12 awareness, and promoting STEM pathways.
Industry Collaboration: Work alongside IT professionals to understand current technologies, workflows, and best practices. Gain exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure and tools, and benefit from mentorship from seasoned experts.
Project Management in Action: Participate in managing technical projects from planning to execution. Learn to scope tasks, coordinate teams, and deliver results, developing skills in task planning, time management, and team coordination.
Academic Integration: Complement your studies in computer science, cybersecurity, or information systems by reinforcing classroom concepts with real-world applications and building a strong portfolio of technical work.
Minimum Eligibility
The PTCG seeks motivated students who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to make a difference. We are looking for candidates pursuing degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, or information systems.
