Welcome to the Pacific Technology Cooperation Group Internship Program — a dynamic 12-week gateway for students eager to turn classroom knowledge into real-world impact by blending technical training with community engagement and industry collaboration.
Our internships are designed to immerse motivated students in the fast-paced world of IT and cybersecurity, offering hands-on experience, community engagement, and professional development.
What you will do
The PTCG internship bridges the gap between theory and practice, providing a comprehensive professional experience in technology:
Hands-on cyber range development
Work directly on cyber range environments — simulated networks — gaining practical experience in building, maintaining, and securing these systems. You'll learn network architecture, threat modeling, and the deployment of secure environments for training.
Community engagement with Hawaiʻi DOE
Participate in outreach with the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education, helping inspire the next generation of tech leaders, supporting K-12 awareness, and promoting STEM pathways.
Industry collaboration
Work alongside IT professionals to understand current technologies, workflows, and best practices. Gain exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure and tools, with mentorship from seasoned experts.
Project management in action
Help manage technical projects from planning to execution — scoping tasks, coordinating teams, and delivering results, developing skills in time management and team coordination.
Academic integration
Complement your studies in computer science, cybersecurity, or information systems by reinforcing classroom concepts with real-world applications — and build a strong portfolio of technical work.
Minimum eligibility
The PTCG seeks motivated students who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to make a difference. We are looking for candidates pursuing degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, or information systems.
