We recently had the opportunity to participate in the 2025 X-STEM O’ahu Workshops held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center. In partnership with the Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology and the Pu’e’a Learning Center, we hosted the “Beyond the Horizon: Robotics and Drones Shaping Tomorrow” workshop alongside Coral 101.
The event brought together 483 students to explore various STEM fields within the Defense Industrial Base. Our session focused on introducing students to the world of robotics, drones, and coral reef conservation. It was inspiring to see a majority of our workshop participants report that the experience sparked their interest in learning more about these critical topics.
Through hands-on activities, we aimed to open students’ minds to potential career paths in robotics and environmental technology. Seeing the next generation of innovators engage so deeply with these subjects was a highlights of the event. We are proud to have been a part of this initiative to support STEM education in Hawai’i.
